Limited Lifetime Warranty
Every CableRated cable is covered by a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. If a cable fails under normal use, contact us and we'll replace it free of charge.
"Normal use" means what it sounds like: plugging it in, unplugging it, routing it behind your TV, the occasional cable-management pushes and pulls. The warranty doesn't cover damage from misuse, modification, art projects, pets, pests, or acts of nature – if your cable got in a fight with your lawnmower (and lost), we can't accept it as a defect.
To make a warranty claim, simply email us at cablerated@cablerated.com with your order number and a photo or description of the issue and we'll get it worked out.
Damaged or Wrong Item Received
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, that's on us. Contact us within 30 days and we'll make it right – replacement shipped at no cost to you, no restocking fee, no return shipping charge.
Exchanges (Oops! I ordered the wrong size. 😅)
Ordered the wrong length? Contact us within 30 days. In most cases we'll exchange it for the size you needed. Exchanged cables must be unused and in their original packaging.
Returns (I've changed my mind. 🫤)
If you'd like to return a cable for reasons other than a defect or an oopsie on our part, contact us within 30 days of delivery. These returns are accepted at our discretion, and here's what to expect:
- Cables must be unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging.
- You're responsible for return shipping costs.
- A restocking fee of up to 30% may be deducted from your refund. Whether and how much depends on the condition of the return – cables that come back ready to resell fare better.
- Original shipping fees are non-refundable, except where required by law.
Refunds are issued to your original payment method once we've received and inspected the return, typically within 5–7 business days.
Returns We Can't Accept
We may decline returns that show signs of use, wear, or damage, or that are missing components or packaging. If we can't accept your return, we'll let you know why and can ship it back to you at your cost.
