CableRated Warranty & Returns Policy

1) Quick Summary

Cables (HDMI, USB, speaker cables/wire, and other cables): Limited Lifetime Warranty for defects in materials and workmanship under normal, in-spec use by the original purchaser.

Merchandise (t-shirts, hats, mugs, stickers, and other merch):
A) LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY (CABLE PRODUCTS)
2) What “Limited Lifetime” Means
CableRated warrants to the original retail purchaser that CableRated-branded cable products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product, when used under normal conditions and within product specifications (“to spec”).
“Normal/to spec” includes: proper connector insertion/removal, reasonable bend radius, and use consistent with the cable’s ratings/standards and intended environment (e.g., indoor use unless labeled otherwise).
3) What’s Covered
This Limited Lifetime Warranty covers manufacturing defects such as:

Internal failure causing intermittent connection under normal use

Connector failure not caused by misuse, pulling, crushing, or modification
-
Premature failure during ordinary, in-spec use
4) What’s Not Covered (Exclusions)
This warranty does not cover:
-
Misuse, abuse, neglect, or accidents (including crushing, yanking, kinking, or pulling by the connector)

Use outside specifications, improper installation, incompatible equipment/adapters, or use exceeding rated standards
-
Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, or performance issues caused by non-warranty conditions (dust, corrosion, liquid, etc.)
-
Alteration, modification, or repair by anyone other than CableRated (including re-terminating ends)
-
Damage from liquids, corrosion, power surges, fire, flood, or other external causes
-
Products not purchased from CableRated or a seller we identify as authorized (if applicable)
5) What We Will Do (Your Remedies)
If we confirm a covered defect, CableRated will, at our option:
-
Replace the product with the same model (or a comparable product if discontinued), or
-
Repair (if feasible), or
-
Refund the purchase price (typically if replacement is unavailable).
6) Warranty Shipping

Customer is responsible for shipping the product to CableRated unless we state otherwise in writing.

If approved, CableRated will cover shipping for the replacement item back to you (or refund shipping at our discretion).

If not covered, we may return the item at your expense or offer a paid replacement.
7) How To Make a Warranty Claim
Email cablerated@cablerated.com with:
We may require return of the product for inspection and will provide instructions.
B) RETURNS POLICY (MERCHANDISE + ALL PRODUCTS WHERE APPLICABLE)
8) Merchandise: 30-Day Defect or Shipping-Damage Returns Only
Merchandise (including t-shirts, hats, mugs, stickers, and other merch) may be returned/exchanged within 30 days of delivery only for:
Apparel condition: unworn, unwashed, in original condition with tags/packaging where applicable (unless the defect prevents this).
Shipping damage documentation: include photos of the item plus the shipping box and packing materials.
9) Other Returns (If Accepted): 30% Restocking Fee + Return Shipping
For return requests not due to manufacturing defects or shipping damage (e.g., “changed my mind,” “ordered the wrong size”), CableRated may accept the return at our discretion, subject to:

30% restocking fee deducted from your refund, and
-
Customer pays return shipping (original shipping fees are not refundable unless required by law).
Items must be unused and in resalable condition. We may deny returns that show wear/washing/damage or missing components/packaging.
10) Refund Timing
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method after inspection/approval, typically within 5–10 business days.
11) Return Process (All Returns/Claims)

Email cablerated@cablerated.com with your order number and reason for return/claim.

If approved, we’ll provide return instructions. Returns sent without approval may be refused.

Pack items securely. For non-defect returns, you are responsible for loss/damage in transit.
C) IMPORTANT LEGAL TERMS (WYOMING + FEDERAL)
12) Warranty Designation
This is a LIMITED WARRANTY.
13) DISCLAIMER OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES (CONSPICUOUS)
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY WYOMING LAW, CABLE RATED DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
Where implied warranties cannot be disclaimed, they are limited to the shortest duration permitted by law.
(Wyoming’s UCC requires that a disclaimer of “merchantability” mention “merchantability,” and that such disclaimers be conspicuous in a writing.)
14) LIMITATION OF LIABILITY / CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CABLE RATED WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOST PROFITS OR LOST DATA).
THIS LIMITATION DOES NOT APPLY TO THE EXTENT WYOMING LAW DOES NOT ALLOW IT—INCLUDING LIMITATIONS FOR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY CONSUMER GOODS, WHICH WYOMING LAW TREATS AS PRIMA FACIE UNCONSCIONABLE.
15) Wyoming Consumer Protection Notice
CableRated intends this policy to be clear and conspicuous. We reserve the right to refuse abusive return activity and to enforce these written terms consistent with Wyoming’s consumer protection standards prohibiting unfair or deceptive practices.
16) State Law Rights
This policy gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary by state.
17) Policy Updates
We may update this policy from time to time. The version posted at the time of purchase generally applies unless required by law or clearly stated otherwise.
